About Us

Holistic Development Nepal (HD Nepal) is a national NGO working in the field of eradicating poverty through effective engagement for livelihood improvement and socio-economic development. HD Nepal supports communities and community based organizations in their movement for strengthening their access to socio-economic prosperity. HD Nepal has contributed in developing and strengthening communities and people’s power through people’s organizations to help them reinforce their rights and demand for accountability of the duty bearers. HD Nepal also partners with different community based organizations and social movements, empowering the people’s organizations and taking lead for sustainable prosperity and accessibility. HD Nepal has regularly been conducting coordinated campaigns and projects on research and documentation, national/local level lobbying, capacity building and organizing different events.

Our philosophy guides us towards a fearless approach which is necessary  to achieve change. We do not focus on a single objective, because we believe that everything is interconnected, and when all its parts are explicated, the whole system can be transformed, that is what we want to do, envision development in holistic approach.

Leadership

Our programs help to build on existing networks for shaping future community leaders that are more aware of sustainable development.

We work with the objective of enhancing responsiveness through increased awareness and capacity building for development management through maximum stakeholder participation addressing short/long-term development agendas. These objectives clearly reflect in HD Nepal’s priority of promoting inclusive socio-economic development finally tackling the drivers of underdevelopment and detachment.
Through knowledge sharing and transfer of skills, we work towards building next generation of community leaders, leadership networks and institutions in the long-run.
